Who am I!

Hi my name is Elina Baig and I am a Junior for this school year! This will be my second year as a class officer. Last year was my first year as the Corresponding Secretary. But this year I am the Recording Secretary.

This year I was really excited for a school year, but then slowly as the first day of school came to a pass I realized how much I am in fact not looking forward to this school year for only certain reasons.

Once the first week had passed I realized how much this school year was going to drain me. In the first week I already had fifteen assignments to do. It's been only six days and let me tell you I am already drained.

Though, this year might be on kind of the opposite end of excitement I will go to say that overall I am somewhat really excited for this school year. I am really excited for all the projects and things that we will be doing in SGA along with class projects. One thing that I am really looking forward to is getting to start planning our prom and getting ready for our senior year. Even though it is about bittersweet since I really do not really want to leave high school since it has been one of the best experiences of my life thus far. I have been ale to meet so many new people and my man who I would only have if it was not due to school.

As for my hobbies I don't really have much since I don't really do that much outside of school. School is one thing that basically consumes my entire life because of all my extracurriculars and positions in school along with my classes and online classes. Along with being a class officer I am also on the executive board for DECA (which is not a cult), and the historian for the Environmental Club. But when I am not doing stuff for school I am usually either reading which is something I loveeeeeee. I love books and reading, with caffeine and iced coffee that is all of which consumes my life. I also have a huge shopping addiction which I get from my mother. If we are bored that is all we do. We shop. We shop until we drop. Quite literally. If I am not doing either of those things then I'm usually at a party. My family is a huge party family. It is a blessing and a curse.

Other than that, that is me!

Winter Spirit Week

Okay so long story short this week was Winter Spirit Week. But also in a way it was quite literally the work week of my life. Monday 12/9:  Winter Gear Okay so for Monday I simply just did not go to school. I can justify this action by saying that I was sick. Because I was sick I was quite literally fighting for my life. I am the one person with the worst luck on the entire planet. And each time it is winter time I get extremely sick due to the weather change and that was quite evident on Monday and my mother quite literally told me, "stay ur a** at home" and so that  is what I did because I am a good daughter and I listen to my mother because according to that one song in Tangles (aka the best Disney princess movie ever) "Mother Knows Best." Even though that can be heavily questioned due to the fact that I think I am more right then she is sometimes. I will not be saying that to her face though because she scares the crap out of me when she gets angry, and I can n...

Hoco Week 2024

Homecoming Week is one of the most anticipated weeks within the school year. It is filled with a plethora of joyous events that brings everyone together. This years homecoming week was no exception. Tuesday October 15, 2024: Battle of the Colors (Purple) To kick off homecoming week, the first dress up day and probably the most basic was color wars. The color for Juniors is purple. Finding purple clothing was actually really hard. As someone who does not really like wearing flashy colors this one was a bit challenging for me. I personally prefer to wear very neutral colors such as brown, black, white, gray. Nothing that really stands out. And purple is just that, a very vibrant color that sticks out. As someone who is a avid hater of purple this dress up day pained me the most. But nonetheless, I showed out. I managed to find a purple shirt and just wore a pair of leggings because the purple was already too much for me. But at the same time I did not want to be too basic since this...
